This trail running event at Elver Park in Madison, Wisconsin will be run primarily on wooded ski trail with a few sections of single track trail. The 5.5K features numerous climbs and the 9K and 14.5K feature some technical sections.
Attention parents! We’ll have a free 500m Snowball Kids Trail Run.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the ‘Adopt an Athlete Program’, started by the Central Cross Country Ski Association (a 501(c)3 not for profit organization) to support opportunities for talented athletes to pursue athletic excellence in the Winter Olympic Games.
rules and regulations
The following rules and regulations must be followed by all participants:
-obey race officials; yield to emergency personnel and vehicles;
-running strollers/wagons allowed in the WALK ONLY;
-participation in an incorrect race portion will result in an unrecorded time.
Results and awards
Results will be posted on www.run4snow.com on the evening of the race day. Winners and age-groups awards will be given at the finish.
Individuals are awarded in the 5.5K, 9K, 15.5K Trail Run as follows:
-top man and top woman finishers overall
-top 3 men and women in the following age groups:
14 and under (5.5K only), 15-18 (5.5K only), 19 and under (9K and 14.5K), 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
